With a legacy going back 97 years, Cincinnati Opera is one of the oldest and most highly regarded opera companies in the United States. Known for its longstanding partnership with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, a roster of world-class singers, and its spectacular performance venue, Cincinnati Music Hall, Cincinnati Opera has received numerous accolades and awards, including a recent nomination for the prestigious International Opera Award.

The 2017 Summer Festival features the new opera Frida--on the life of Frida Kahlo--and two extraordinary international collaborations: La Bohème in a co-production with London-based English National Opera, and The Magic Flute in an utterly charming production with spellbinding video projections from Berlin’s Komische Opera. Productions will take place at the Aronoff Center for the Arts while Music Hall is under renovation.
